Coach Hause wrapped up his seventh year as an assistant coach for the Cal State San Marcos baseball team in 2013, heading a staff that set program-bests for ERA (2.87), opponent batting average (.219), complete games (7), shutouts (8), fewest hits (312) and runs (162) allowed.
The 2013 Cougars ranked fourth in the NAIA in opposing batting average and had the ninth-lowest staff ERA.
Regionally known as one of the best and most knowledgeable coaches in the area of pitching, Hause has long worked on the professional. collegiate and high school levels, and his evaluation of players is well-known.
Pat's wife is a school principal, and they have two children. His son, Brendan, was a former CIF Player of the Year and is now a full-time scout for the Miami Marlins.
