SAN DIEGO - The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team recently participated in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides against Breast Cancer walk on Sunday, October 21 in Balboa Park.

Head coach Sheri Jennum, a survivor of breast cancer, spearheaded the effort to raise money that will go towards lifesaving research, providing access to mammograms, and free services that make that battle against breast cancer easier for patients and their families.

The team joined over 20,000 walkers dedicated to fighting breast cancer and celebrating survivorship.
