SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is partnering with Family Recovery Center for SAAC's fourth-annual toy drive December 3-12.

SAAC will be accepting unwrapped gifts for children ages 0-18 to donate to the FRC, an Oceanside-based residential and outpatient treatment program dedicated to assisting women recover from substance abuse, while promoting family reunification.

Members of the community who bring a gift to the men's basketball games against Point Loma Nazarene on Wednesday, Dec. 5 or against No. 1 Concordia (Calif.) on Saturday, Dec. 8, will receive free admission. Both games start at 7:30 p.m.

In addition, SAAC will be accepting gifts at the Athletics Department office in the Clarke Fieldhouse on CSUSM's campus, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. during business days. For directions to campus, click here.

The FRC maintains four major components: Residential Treatment, Day Treatment, Outpatient Treatment, and Child Development Center. The FRC provides a safe and nurturing environment that offers a holistic approach to recovery that includes addiction education and treatment, physical wellness, and meeting the psychiatric needs of clients.
