A.I.I. Tournament Central

SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The seeds have officially been assigned for the 2013 Men's and Women's Soccer Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Championship Tournament Nov. 15-16 at Grizzly Soccer Field in Gwinnett, Ga.

The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team was granted as the No. 2–seed for this year's tournament. The Cougars also took No. 2–seed for the men's side. Both teams will face host and No. 3-seed Georgia Gwinnett.

The seedings are identical for both the men's and women's tournaments. Ashford is ranked No. 1, Georgia Gwinnett is No. 3, and Lindenwood-Belleville is No. 4.

CSUSM women's soccer has won five of its last seven games to finish at 9-5-1 heading into the postseason. The Cougars will take on the Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. PT in the A.I.I. semifinals during the first day of the tournament.

CSUSM men's soccer has won four of its last five games. The Cougars finished with a 10-4-2 record, their first 10-win regular season since 2006. The Cougars take on the Grizzlies at 10:00 a.m. PT in the A.I.I. semifinals on Nov. 15.

The women's team has won the conference crown three times in the past five seasons, while the men's team has held the title once in 2011.

All games will be video streamed live online on the Grizzly Digital Network with play-by-play commentary from Voice of the Grizzlies Matt Mahony. Games involving GGC will be free of charge while all non-GGC contests are available for $7.95 through Stretch Internet, LLC. Live stats also will be available for each contest.
