Box Score ESPANOLA, N.M. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team topped Northern New Mexico College 77-65 on Friday night at Eagle Gym.

Cassie Damyanovich had 19 points to go along with seven rebounds and three assists. She was 5-of-10 from behind the arc. Sherika Miller added 15 points, five boards and four assists, while Heather Thompson finished with 14 points and six rebounds.

Alexandria Alvarado scored 10 points while MacKenzie Harnett corralled 10 rebounds. Lindsey Uyematsu had six points and four assists.

The Cougars committed just 10 turnovers while dishing out 20 assists, third-most this season in any game.

CSUSM started out hot, leading 16-0 before NNMC settled in. The Cougars led by as many as 20 two different times, but NNMC would not go away, scoring 20 points from the stripe over the life of the contest to stay within striking distance.

The Cougars improve to 10-16 overall and will turn around to face Johnson & Wales (Colo.) on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at Eagle Gym.
