Cougars Tie Gators, 1-1

SAN FRANCISCO – After two second-half goals within 30 seconds of each other, the Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team (6-5-5, 4-2-3 CCAA) and San Francisco State (4-8-4, 2-4-3 CCAA) ended their contest in a 1-1 draw on Friday afternoon at Cox Stadium.

SF STATE – 71' Brynn Reyes (Assisted by AJ Tanner)
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Scoreless after 45 minutes, SF State had a 6-2 advantage for shots while putting five on goal.
  • Taking possession in the box, Moorehead sent a shot into the upper right corner from 10 yards out on the right side to give CSUSM a 1-0 lead in the 70th minute.
  • A cross from outside the box on the right side by Tanner found the head of Reyes at the penalty kick marker, who put the ball over the keeper's head and into the right side of the net to tie the game at 1-1 in the 71st minute.
